Girls Trip to Myrtle Beach!

I just have to start out this one by saying wow! I am so blessed to have such great friends in my life. We just got back from our trip to Myrtle Beach, Sc on Sunday. I had such an amazing time with the girls. I have never laughed so hard in my entire life. Alot of laughter and craziness but also was such a relaxing trip. I would start out the day waking next to my friend Emily who also happened to be waking up. WE are too much alike. It was so nice to be able to have our coffee together out on the beach. We both appreciated the fact that we didn't have to wake up and fix breakfast and take care of anyone but ourselves. Selfish I know, but that is what taking these vacations is all about. Not only was I able to relax and be selfish but I also was able to release and blow off some heavy steam! I had avery spiritual moment where I took care of some negativity that has been in my life. It is amazing how a simple little adjustment and mind clearing can make a whole difference for your soul. The beautiful beach and oceans waves took a huge role in doing this. HA HA I am laughing for a good reason! But anyway! I really had a blast getting ready for our evenings out. We are such girly girls. And not to mention the pre drinking on the balcony in our matching nightwear was so much fun. I can always count on Emily's shower caps to make me bend over double in laughter. We had sooo many moments of laughter. Some actually left a mark. I mean I really have a huge knot on my head from trying to jump out of a closed sun roof...really it WAS open. Karaoke was a fun activity. I can't believe that there are soo many tone def people around and for that matter enteresting men who like to sing like a virgin! H AH A! There was never a dull moment. We even created our own scene in the gift shop modeling the funky glasses and singing Don't Worry Be Happy in unison ha ha ha! Too much fun. Hot tub, Dirty Bananas, cigars, Krysten's ipod mix, long hours poolside, water slides, cab rides, lemon drops, cage dancers and all of the jerks that are out there that just so happened to be younger than us and hate married women!! HA HA Oh and cannot forget the hotwings, will never be forgotten and will be locked up with the many other memories that these girls and I have together. Now we can start planning for next year!!!

Childhood Friends

Just a quick blurb today. I am pretty busy but almost finished packing. That's right Mandy is hopping on a plane and heading to Myrtle Beach, SC to spend a few days with some of her best friends. This is the first time that we have had the chance to actually travel. We always have a good time on our girls nights in Indiana but this is going to be such a different experience. I cannot wait to lay on the beach, sit on the balcony or just simply lay around and blab. I miss these girls so much. But when we get together it is as if we were never apart. Yep, some things never change. Emily and I were exiled out to the pull out sofa. We have been known to pull a few pranks now and then and not to mention we are EARLY risers. Ha! They think making us sleep in a different room is going to stop me from messing with them LOL! I have already planned several pranks! HA HA! I am such a kid! But ya know old habbits die hard. Anyway, I am so excited and NOTHING could stop me from getting to see my girls!!! I am leavin on a jet plane!! Wahhoooo!

A crisp fall morning

What a beautiful morning! For those who know me know that I absolutely love the fall. I woke up this morning at a very early hour to see my husband out the door for his weekend journey. Not only was I groggy from the early waking but I was feeling a bit ill. Both my sons are a bit sick right now and I have a feeling that they have once again decided to share with mommy. After making breakfast, packing a lunch and sending my daughter off to school i equipped the boys with a cozy blanket and a fun movie downstairs. Ahhh now it was time for me to have a cup of coffee! There is nothing like sitting outside having a good cup o joe. My friend Emily can relate to this. She and I are both early risers and are looking forward to having this time next week to sit out on the balcony and ahve coffee together. Living 780 miles away from eachother this will be a special moment. sorry got off on a tangent. Anyway, while sitting outside it was so nice to be able to collect my thoughts and figure out what comes next. I am a huge fan of planning. If you don't have a plan or a direction, then what are you doing in life? You may end up running in circles. I had originally planned to go back to school this fall to complete a degree in Physical therapy. I already have the majority of the credits done. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get my little guy into the program there until the spring semester in Jan. So, ok! This gives me a little time to fix things around here and do a little something for myself. For example...drinking coffee on my patio, watching the cardinal eat from the bird feeder and feeling the cool crisp fall breeze. Simple moments like this that some may think to be humdrum! But I cannot expect everyone to enjoy the things that I do, we may just simply be on a different page in life. I have learned to never try to change something that you like because it might not be as flashy or as catchy as something else, but I simply know to be happy with what I like because it is me. Sometimes it is helpful to look at both sides of things and usually good can come from both. Wow!! I like this. I can just ramble for hours LOL!!! But I will end this one with a list of the SIMPLE things that I love in life.

Life Experiences

Wow! What an interesting way to vent and share things. Being a woman in her late 20's and experiencing new things, I seem to have alot to share . This past year as a 28 yr. old I have learned so much. Some experiences have been great and others well...are questionalble. I can say that I donot regret any or should I say most decisions that I have made. I feel that it is life's experiences that let us grow, mature and most importantly LEARN. Sometimes you have to put yourself out there on the line. Put your heart and soul into something and try to see what happens hoping that all of your questions and desires are fullfilled. Unfortunately fullfillment is not always the outcome. I have since learned that a hasty decision made from a deep emotion may end up in a complete disaster. But all you can do is simply step back assess the situation and realize that everything does happen for a reason. The expression "Man plans and God laughs" is so true. Learn from it!! And I would like to add that that little thing that we call a gut feeling, well you need to listen to it. Your gut or some people like to call it a conscience is is more than likely right. It is a god given tool that for some reason we sometimes choose to ignore. But if the outcome is bad don't take it to heart. Just chalk it up to experience. The hurt and pain that it has caused will eventually fade. I'd like to believe that someday maybe....some good will come out of all bad things!!!
